Yael Jacoby

Yael is a third year Economics major at the University of Melbourne also completing a concurrent diploma in Global Issues.

She is highly interested in political economy, public policy,  and current affairs all of which directed her towards the studies of economics, which she calls ‘the language of the world’. Yael is intrigued by how people’s behaviours are shaped by an economy and how different economic assumptions can shape societies.

This year Yael is Publications Director and feels right at home within ESSA surrounded by people who are always keen to discuss economic theory at length and wish to share their passion for economics with others.

When she isn’t reading articles and other books both fiction and nonfiction at a frustratingly slow pace she is probably watching a documentary or maybe re-runs of early 2000s TV dramas all while drinking copious amounts of tea and coffee.
