Winona Horton

Winona is a first year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics and Accounting. She first became drawn to economics during her high school studies due to its relevance to all facets of life, particularly global development and human rights.

In joining ESSA, Winona hopes to enhance her interest in economics, while facilitating the discussion around topical economic issues within the student body. As a member of the subcommittee she looks forward to trying all the different elements of ESSA, and getting to know the rest of the committee.

Outside of economics, Winona enjoys her role as billionaire industrialist and notorious playboy, driving fast cars, hanging out with models and drinking expensive champagne. After watching her parents be tragically killed in an alleyway after the theatre one night, she has vowed to rid the city of evil, which mostly involves sleeping too little and eating too much.
