The booming US economy The US economy is doing well. Perhaps not ‘better than anybody in the world’ as President Trump boasts, but the numbers are still fairly extraordinary.[1] GDP growth recently hit the highest level since 2014.[2] The unemployment rate is the lowest in 49 years.[3]
