Nominal Interest: Semester 1 Finale

Nominal Interest: Semester 1 Finale

In our last episode for the semester, the Nominal Interest panel featured our regulars Tom Crowley, Priyanka Banerjee and Sam O’Connor, plus two new panellists, Asanga Seneviratne and Jasmin Manetta. The discussion took a philosophical turn last week, as the panel chatted all things Artificial Intelligence and what the implications might be, ethical and economic. Of course, it wouldn’t be a semester finale without a special touch – or rather, a magical one – as the panel talked about Harry Potter and how economics weaves into fantasy (other than our ideals of perfect competition).
