Benjamin Falloon

Ben is a third year Commerce student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics and Finance and completing a concurrent Diploma of Mathematical Sciences. Economics stimulates him because of its use of statistical techniques (he has always perceived a certain pulchritude in data) to develop a nuanced yet malleable understanding of human behaviour.  

Ben was drawn to ESSA because of the society’s commitment to promoting Economics’ multidisciplinary appeal as well as its liberal use of hashtags. He likes nicknames, DNMs and the word, “rambunctious”; and some of his favourite pastimes include watching art house films, listening to seriously weird electronic music, meditating, reading and writing fiction and playing tennis.
